Yarn Activity Exercise Photos:
1) The purpose of this activity was for you to see how easy or how hard it was to make connections with topics of climate change.
2) As the web grew larger and more connections are made we can see how if we influence one area, it affects the entire chain.
3) When more and more connections are made, the class tended to avoid the situation by stepping outside of the circle just to avoid being tangled up in the mess. This is similar to what's happening to our world today with climate change. When an issue comes up, that involves this topic or that topic, people tend to avoid the situation by ignoring or getting out of what's happening to our environment.
4) When it was time to go, people started to untangle the yarn. What does this mean? It means that if your class can work together to untangle the problem that you have in front of you; people can do the same with problems of climate change.

Here are some of the connections that we've made in class:
(I've taken what was in the photos and rewritten it here) Air Pollution + Cities, Buildings and Infrastructure: Connection: Certain buildings pollute the air in which we live in. Water Pollution + Natural Hazards: Connection: Tsunamis can cause water to be polluted after it wipes out certain civilian areas. Economy and Jobs + Foods Production: Connection: If food production is short, then the amount of jobs will decrease. Natural Hazards + Foods Production: Connection: If the environment is hit with a natural disaster, it may destroy crops and decrease food production. |

b) Write me a summary about the article that you've found including 1) The main point 2) Any supporting points the article may have that backs up the main argument.
c) Give me your opinion on the article. (i.e. Do you agree or disagree with what the article is saying?)
