What is Relative Entry?
1. Relative is the second of the 3 main methods of Coordinate Entry to accurately draw lines, move, copy, etc. to achieve your desired drawing.
2. Relative Coordinate Entry works from the last point entered. The format used is @X,Y this then move X amount in the x-axis and Y amount in the y-axis. Note to go to the left or down you would input negative numbers.
3. To work in the Relative Coordinate system chose what you wish to draw (line, circle, rectangle, etc.) or modify (copy, move, rotate, etc.) and then type in the Relative Coordinate you wish to go to.
4. In AutoCAD 2018 you must change your DYNMODE to "1" to access the Absolute Coordinate Entry System
