Stock Market Investing Assignment
Imagine that your well financial planning has help you save $10,000 Canadian dollars. Since your knowledge of understanding how to save money is immersed with knowledge now, you are ready to try some higher risk investing--using your money to try and help you make more money in the stock market.
Since we're talking about fake money here, it is a great starting point for you to explore what kinds of stocks exist in the stock market. I would like you to pick up to a maximum of 5 stocks to invest in and you must do at least 20 trades. You don't need to invest all your money if you don't want to. By next week, January 21st, I would like to see who in the class has made money from this assignment and who has lost money.
Rules:
1) You may choose UP TO 5 stocks to invest in but you must invest in at least 1 stock.
Use this website to help you get started: HERE 2) After you choose your stock, look up how much the stock is listed for: HERE 3) Then fill out the chart that I've shared with you on Google Drive to record your transactions of how much stock you are buying for that company.
4) Monitor your stock price every day by looking at the website in step 2. Decide if you want to sell your stock or just leave it. You MUST SELL your stock by January 21st, 2022. 5) Complete the rest of the row after you sell your stock. |
Hints:
TMX Money's Website shows you the price near the top of your stock page.
Use the charting Tab on your stock's page to look at what the previous prices are before. ***PLEASE NOTE: TMX Money has changed their outlook of the website. Your chart for your stock is located on the main page now. You can choose between the options (day, month, year, years, etc.) on the MAIN page of your stock.***
